Website redesign services in Toronto

Your website has quietly aged. In a market where Toronto rivals rebuild every couple of years, a site running on a sluggish theme or a platform nobody maintains falls behind a bit at a time — slower pages, weaker positions, fewer calls from Downtown, North York, Scarborough, and the east-end neighbourhoods you want to reach. We take the site you already own and rebuild it on modern code, carrying your content, traffic, and search rankings across the move.

Signs it's time

  • Pages take several seconds to open over a phone connection
  • The platform it sits on is no longer maintained or patched
  • A one-line text change means emailing whoever built it
  • Nearby competitors have visibly newer, sharper sites
  • Visits and enquiries have drifted down for a year or more
  • The design was approved before your current services existed

What a redesign covers

One project, run end to end — the review, the rebuild, the content move, and the redirects — by the people who then host and look after it.

Audit and plan

We crawl the current site, mark which pages bring in search visits and which turn into enquiries, then agree what carries over, what gets rebuilt, and what quietly retires.

Content migration

Copy, photos, posts, and case studies that already earn their keep move across without a rewrite. The parts that work keep working; the stale and duplicated pieces get flagged for your call.

Rebuild on Next.js

The replacement is written from the ground up on Next.js, so it stays quick and steady as you add to it — not another stock theme held together with plugins.

Redirect mapping

Every indexed address is matched to its new location with a 301, titles and descriptions travel with it, and internal links are repointed so nothing lands on a dead page.

Protecting your Toronto search rankings

A redesign puts your hardest-won asset on the line: the positions your pages already hold in Toronto search results. That equity lives on specific URLs, and if those addresses change with nothing pointing search engines to the replacements, the rankings tied to them can disappear and take months to rebuild — time a business up against dozens of similar firms across the city cannot spare.

Before launch we build a line-by-line map of every current URL to its match on the new site, with a permanent redirect for anything that shifts. The titles, headings, and descriptions that earn clicks come across unchanged, and internal links are updated to match. After cutover we submit the new structure to Google, then watch Search Console through the settling weeks for crawl errors, coverage drops, or ranking movement, and act on anything that looks off.

How a redesign runs from start to finish — refresh versus rebuild, timelines, and what you get handed back — is set out on the website redesign services page. Building a brand-new site instead? see web design in Toronto.

For budgeting, the pricing page lays out the plan tiers, and the quote form comes back with a figure for your site.

Toronto redesign — questions we hear

Will a redesign cost me my Google rankings?

It shouldn't, when the migration is handled with care. Positions slip when URLs change without redirects, when pages that were pulling traffic get dropped, or when metadata is left behind. We redirect every old address, keep the pages that earn visits, and carry titles and descriptions over. Handled that way, rankings generally hold through the switch and tend to strengthen once the site is faster and better organised — though search results always take a few weeks to settle and nobody can promise exact placements.

Can we keep the content that's already on our site?

Yes. Service pages, images, blog posts, reviews — anything doing a job stays. A redesign swaps the foundation and the look, not the material you have spent years building up. We point out what is outdated or repeated and leave the keep-or-cut decision with you.

Our site is on Wix or an old WordPress build. Can you move it?

That is a common starting point. We migrate off hosted builders and off neglected WordPress installs onto Next.js, bring the content along, and redirect the previous URLs so search traffic follows to the new pages instead of hitting errors.

How long does a Toronto redesign take?

A typical rebuild goes live in roughly two to three weeks. The real variable is the size of the existing site and how quickly review notes come back from your side. You get a dated schedule once the audit shows how many pages are actually in scope.

What will it cost?

It depends on how many pages are moving, how much content needs migrating, and whether the work is a visual refresh or a full rebuild. We don't post a flat redesign figure because the scope swings too widely. The pricing page shows how the plans are laid out, and the quote form returns a number tied to your actual site.

Who works on the project?

The developer doing the build, directly. There is no account manager relaying messages, and no part of the migration handed to a subcontractor once the contract is signed.
